OFF-TIMETABLE MUSIC CLASSES

2014/2015

Welcome to another school year. It is great to see you all again and to be meeting some of you for the first time. Welcome to the music department and the many adventures we will have this year.

As you know, not all band classes take place on the regular school schedule of 8:35 am to 3:03 pm. If you are registered in Junior Jazz Band, Intermediate Jazz Band, Senior Jazz Band, Junior Symphony, Honour Chamber Choir, or Wind Ensemble, these classes will be taught before and after the regular school day.

The schedule for these classes is fixed so that it does not matter if it is a day 1 or a day 2.

Here is this year’s schedule:

Junior Jazz Band meets every Monday after school from 3:15 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Wednesday morning from 7:20 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. The first class is Wednesday, September 24th, at 3:15 p.m.

Intermediate Jazz Band meets every Monday morning from 7:20 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and every Wednesday after school from 3:15 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The first class is Monday morning, September 24th, at 7:20 a.m.

Senior Jazz Band meets every Tuesday and Thursday morning from 7:20 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. The first class is Thursday, September 25th.

Senior Wind Ensemble meets every Tuesday after school from 3:15 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday morning from 7:20 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. The first class is Tuesday after school, September 26th, at 3:15 p.m.

Junior Symphony meets every Monday and Wednesday mornings from 7:20 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. in the Strings room A018. The first class is TBA at 7:20 a.m.

Honour Chamber Choir meets every Tuesday at lunch and after school from 3:15 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The first class is Thursday, September 25th, at 3:15 p.m.

Remember that it does not make any difference if it is a day 1 or day 2.

We are really looking forward to another wonderful year here in the music department. Let’s make it the best one yet!
