This week in the band department:

We celebrate all saxophone players this week! As well, we will have a masterclass on Wednesday morning at 7:30 a.m. in the band room with professional saxophonist Michael Morimoto. Bring your saxophone and receive some great advice on playing. All Byng saxophonist should attend.

All Intermediate Band and LBWE students should hand in their completed tuning charts by Oct 16. Don’t delay in doing them!

The LBWE had a retreat last Friday and discussed moving to music and how music moves us. After some time experiencing our pieces for this term, we had a great clinic looking at the Alexander Technique and how it can help musicians. Feedback from the band members is welcome. Please let us know your thoughts on the days activities.

Theory test will be due October 30 so please bring any questions you may have to Dr. MacLennan and don’t leave them to the last minute to complete.
