Hope everyone has had a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends!

This week, we celebrate the wonderful world of the trumpet and trumpet players. On this Wednesday morning, Oct 14, trumpeter Dr. Al Cannon will be here at 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. for a trumpet masterclass which all of our trumpeters should attend. We understand the grade 8s will be getting ready for their camp, so they are excused from this clinic. I’ll try to reschedule a trumpet clinic later in the year for them.

This is a reminder that tuning charts are due this Friday for all Intermediate Band and Wind Ensemble students. Be sure to complete the tuning charts accurately with a partner. As well, if students haven’t paid for their grey vest, they need to bring the $55 asap.

Playing test week is only one week away: October 19 to 22. Prepare now for it. Don’t put off practicing. You cannot cram for your test! Ask if you have any questions.

Theory test due October 30.
